Most of the time we don’t think about different threats and just live our happy and carefree lives until one day something happens to us or people around us which makes us reconsider the way we live and start being more careful. Luckily technology has come so far that some gadgets can really save our life one day. I chose 4 of them which I liked most, so here they are:
The Noah Shelter
Recently Japan has suffered a lot from earthquakes and tsunamis. This made their genius inventors take action and make something really wonderful to save their lives! A Japanese engineer Shoji Tanaka created a Noah shelter in the form of a large ball-shaped capsule made of fibreglass. Up to 4 people can get into it and feel safe during a tsunami or an earthquake. It has a lookout window and breathing holes. And during peaceful times can be used as a toy house for kids.
Invisible earpiece spy gadgets
What will you do in case someone suddenly attacks you at some dubious place when no one is there to help you? Of course it’s great if you know some martial arts and can knock down your offender. But if not? You won’t be able to shout or make a call in a usual way but with the help of invisible earpiece spy gadgets you will be able to secretly connect with the police or someone else and call for help. The devices consist of a wireless earpiece and a Bluetooth transmitter. You just insert the earpiece into your ear, connect the transmitter to your phone and make a secret call via speed dialing right from your pocket! The transmitters have a built-in spy microphone which will make even your lowest whisper heard.
ABS Avalanche Airbag System
In case climbing mountains is your passion you will definitely find this gadget really useful! That’s a backpack with 2 airbags which inflate when you pull the activation handle. In case of an avalanche you won’t get buried under snow. The Swiss Federal Institute for Snow Science and Avalanche Research says that 97 per cent of victims wearing ABS Avalanche Airbag System will survive. So you can start your expedition right now and feel much more secure.
The Hövding
Swedish women-designers Anna Haupt and Terese Alstin invented a gadget for bike-lovers who don’t like wearing helmets. I think it’s especially useful for girls who are always worried about their hairstyle. It’s a shawl-like collar which can work like an airbag. When some abnormal movement by your bike is detected the gadget inflates and forms a helmet around your head. A very useful device, isn’t it?
